Australia needs an honest
benchmark for enterprise AI.
Executives are being sold AI maturity stories by vendors, consultants, and press releases. AEAI exists to cut through that — with a rigorous, open methodology, quarterly cadence, and zero vendor affiliation.
When a CIO asks "where does Australian enterprise AI actually stand?" — this is the answer.
Independent
No vendor sponsors. No consulting conflicts. The score is the score.
Open methodology
Every scoring formula, data source, and weighting rule is published and version-controlled.
Quarterly cadence
Not an annual snapshot. Every quarter — so trends are visible and timely.
Frequently Asked
How is the score calculated?
Four equally-weighted dimensions (Adoption, Governance, Investment, Incidents) at 25% each. Each is a weighted average of tiered signals — primary survey data (1.5×), official government and regulatory sources (1.0×), and media and secondary sources (0.6×). Full methodology is published openly.
How can I cite AEAI in my work?
Free to cite with attribution: "Australian Enterprise AI Index, Q[n] [Year] (corporateai.com.au)." For academic citation, use the methodology document as the primary reference.
Can my organisation contribute data?
Yes. Organisations that complete the quarterly survey contribute anonymised primary data and improve the accuracy of industry scores. Use the contact form below.
Will you expand to other countries?
Australia is the flagship index. A US Index and a Global Corporate AI Index are on the roadmap once the AU methodology is validated through 4+ quarterly cycles.
Who funds this?
AEAI is independently published. No vendor sponsors, no agency. The index exists because no rigorous, independent benchmark for Australian enterprise AI existed.
