Bias Audit

A bias audit is a structured technical and statistical review that tests whether an AI system's outputs differ systematically across protected or sensitive groups — for example, whether a credit-scoring model approves applicants at different rates by postcode as a proxy for demographic factors. It is a required or expected control in most enterprise AI governance frameworks for any system involved in a consequential decision about a person.
