An AI Gateway is a centralised proxy that every AI-model call in an organisation passes through — enabling centralised cost tracking, access control, prompt/response logging for audit, and the ability to swap or fall back between model providers without changing application code. It is a common reference-architecture pattern for enterprises that need governance visibility across many teams independently adopting AI.
