Chain of Custody (AI Audit Trail)
Chain of custody, applied to AI governance, means every score, decision, or published output can be traced back through an immutable record to its raw inputs — who changed what, when, and why. The Australian Enterprise AI Index applies this principle to itself: every quarterly release is SHA-256 fingerprinted at publication, so the calculation cannot be retroactively altered without the hash changing.
